This website (www.globalinternationaltravel.com.au) is owned and operated by Global International Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 20 783 443 838). If you do not agree to be bound by and comply with these terms of use, please do not access or use this site.
References in these terms of use to “you”, “your”, “yours” or “customer” are to be taken as references to the site user and the user’s company, except where stated or where the context requires otherwise. References to “us” or “we” are to be taken as references to Global International Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 20 783 443 838).
1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Global International Travel Pty Ltd website and all bookings made with us. By accessing our website, engaging our advisors, or confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Definitions
‘Client’ refers to the person making the enquiry, booking, or travel reservation, including all travellers on the same booking. ‘Supplier’ refers to third parties providing travel services such as airlines, hotels, cruise companies, tour operators, or transfer providers. ‘We’, ‘Us’, and ‘Our’ refer to Global International Travel Pty Ltd.
3. Scope of Services
We act as an agent for a range of independent Suppliers. Our responsibility is to arrange travel services on your behalf; the contract for those services is between you and the Supplier. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or defaults of Suppliers or any other third party.
4. Quotes, Deposits & Payments
All quotations are subject to availability and change until a booking is confirmed and payment is received. Prices may fluctuate due to currency variations or Supplier changes. Deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. Payment schedules will be outlined at the time of booking. Failure to make payments by due dates may result in cancellation without refund.
5. Amendments & Cancellations by the Client
Requests to amend or cancel a confirmed booking must be made in writing. All amendments and cancellations are subject to the terms and fees imposed by Suppliers and our professional fee schedule. Certain bookings may be non-refundable or carry 100% cancellation penalties. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed less any non-recoverable costs.
6. Amendments or Cancellations by Us or Suppliers
We or Suppliers may alter or cancel travel arrangements due to Force Majeure events, safety concerns, or government directives. If this occurs, we will endeavour to secure alternative arrangements or a refund of recoverable amounts, less service fees and non-refundable Supplier costs.
7. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay, change, or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions. Any additional costs resulting from such events are the responsibility of the Client.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, ensuring passports and visas are valid, meeting health requirements, and obtaining comprehensive travel insurance. You must disclose any medical conditions or special requirements at the time of booking. We reserve the right to decline bookings if adequate insurance coverage is not confirmed.
9. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be mandatory for certain bookings. It should cover cancellation, delays, medical emergencies, and lost or damaged belongings. If you choose not to take out insurance, you acknowledge full responsibility for all losses arising from uninsured events.
10. Supplier Responsibility
Suppliers are independent entities responsible for providing travel services. We are not liable for Supplier acts, errors, or omissions. All bookings are subject to the Supplier’s own terms and conditions, which are available upon request.
11. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All material on our website is protected by copyright and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission. You may use the website only for personal and non-commercial purposes. We do not guarantee that the website will be error-free or uninterrupted.
12. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and protect data. By using our services, you consent to this handling of your information.
13. Liability & Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, or loss of opportunity. Our maximum aggregate liability arising from any claim is limited to the amount paid to us for the relevant booking. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to raise any issues during travel to allow prompt resolution. If unresolved, complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of return. We will review and respond in good faith. Disputes that cannot be resolved may be referred to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
15. Governing Law
If you are located in the EU/UK, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (and UK addenda) or other safeguards recognised by applicable law.
16. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect legal or operational changes. The most current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
